Portland Head Light a Maine Coastal Scene
Portland Head Light has long protected Portland and the adjacent areas of Southern Maine. It’s one of the most famous Light Houses in Maine. Construction began in 1787 at the directive of George Washington and was completed on January 10, 1791.
A lampshade is a popular lighting fixture designed to diffuse light in the room. It is a source of ambient lighting with a soft glow to enhance the look of a room.
I’m excited to show you my representation of this beautiful light house using a fabric textile technique on a lampshade!
This is a one of a kind handmade original lampshade. I started by drawing a lampshade template and sketched out the design from a picture. Then added fabric as a raw edge fabric applique’ technique and free motion embroidery.
